A Spencer-Geller Disciple, or just a Drunk?
Criminal Mischief (Hate Crime): On Nov. 2, police responded to a call from the Marina Deli at 416 Pelham Rd.
An employee claimed a white male was denied a beer on credit and a few minutes later he showed up at the deli with a bat in hand.
The man, identified as 35-year-old Eugene Villani, allegedly smashed the front windows of the deli. Police say one witness claimed Villani entered the Marina Deli and proceeded to smash the glass cases inside.
The events only grew more bizarre, however.
Police said, upon arrival, they saw Villani with small pieces of broken glass on him, and he told them he wanted the police to come so they could stop terrorist actions.
According police, he continued to yell about “Arabs,” using obscenities, saying they shouldn’t be in Westchester County. Police said he said he damaged the store because they were “Arabs.”
Villani was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal mischief (hate crime), a felony.
